I like working at DGH because of the focus on safety and quality, good work mates and stability of income. I get along really well with all staff members, so it makes my working life a lot easier. Some positives at DGH are a good variety of work, job satisfaction and plenty of overtime.

Everybody is really easy to get along with, and management have always been good to me. DGH sponsored my son’s basketball team to go to nationals in Melbourne, which helped out a lot! I have worked on lots of exciting projects at DGH, including breaker builds, gantrys, sumps & chutes. DGH is a great place to learn your trade. There is a good variety of work. I most enjoy catching up with everybody at work, and the sense of accomplishment when you complete a good project.

Good crew of boys on the floor and everyone’s happy to help out. We love having a laugh with each other. The team culture is good, my supervisor and leading hand are really helpful with anything required. While here, I have worked on breaker builds, the S/S Marian Mill Pipe and lots of light fabrication work. Learning experience is good, everyone is happy to help out and show you the correct way to do things. I love learning new skills and working with the other lads in the shop. Pay day is a highlight.

I like working for DGH because they have a good crew on the floor, everyone is helpful. I especially like that the leading hand is always around to help and ask questions to, and most of the team get along and you can have a laugh with them!

DGH provides a variety of jobs for learning, and the whole team is very helpful. The team culture is always improving and is really good at the moment.

I have worked on some exciting projects here, like fabricating/welding grizzleys and stairways. I really enjoy learning on the job to complete my trade.

The reason I like working at DGH is for the range of jobs we take on. I get to learn about different industries from sugar cane to coal. The thing I like most about our team is the range of knowledge and experience, it is easy to ask multiple people how to finish a job.

Team culture is good, and management is better than I have ever seen it! I have worked on a range of projects, such as Saraji pontoon, breaker builds, Ally ramps, chute builds.

Throughout my apprenticeship DGH have always thrown me in the deep end with fabricating and welding. This has made my learning fast, and also helped me learn from my mistakes and how to fix them.
